White soup also known as “ofe Nsala in igbo ,is a traditional Nigerian soup made to supply the body with adequate nutrition essential for maintaining physical and mental health as we age.
Here’s is the simple recipes.
- Assorted meat
- dry fish
- yam
- uziza seed ( grinded)
- uda ( pounded)
- fresh or dry pepper
- salt
- seasoning cubes
- stock fish ( optional)
- Wash your meat season with salt and cubes, add your yam.
- Also add your stock fish ( if using) and the smoked fish and start cooking.
- When the yam is soft and tender bring it out from the pot and blend in a blender or pound it using a morter r
- add your grinded pepper, crayfish( optional) uda. uziza , local nutmeg ( if using.
- In a boiling pot add your blended yam paste, this serve as a thickener to the soup, dissolve it with a tablespoon.
add your uziza leave ( if using ) your seasoning cubes and taste for salt .
