  1. 2 large yams peeled and chopped.
  2. Chicken broth
  3. salt\ seasoning cubes
  4. Milk ( optional)
  5. 1 tsp of cinnamon
  6. 1 tsp nutmeg
  7. Pepper to taste.

 

DIRECTIONS.

  1. In an empty pot pour in some water then add the chopped yam cook until tender for about 10-20 minutes.

 

2. Then drain the yams and mash it with milk cinnamon, nutmeg,  seasoning cubes , salt and pepper, add the chicken broth             and stir very well .

3. Serve warm while garnishing it with chopped fresh herbs like spinach or parsley.

4. Spice it up with a little of cayenne pepper or red pepper flake.
